Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader: New CRPG announced by Pathfinder developers

Developer Owlcat Games, known for Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, has announced a new CRPG with Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

The release is planned for the PC and consoles, a specific date has not yet been set.

Explore the outer borders

In the classic turn-based RPG, set in the Grimdark future of Warhammer 40,000, you take control of a free trader who is also the scion of a venerable family of daring privateers. They rule over a trading empire and explore the fringes of the imperial sphere of influence on their own.

The setting is the Koronus Reach, a dangerous and uncharted region on the Empire’s outer borders.

Of course, you will also meet various companions on your journey in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. These include “a mighty Space Marine, a restless Eldar Ranger, or even a brave member of the Adepta Sororitas armed with boltguns and prayers.”

Support and play earlier

If you want to support the developers early on, you can do so with the help of a Founder’s Pack, which is available on the website the developer are available. This also gives you access to the alpha and beta versions of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

“We are really excited to be able to start a new chapter in the history of Owlcat Games,” comments Oleg Shpilchevsky, Head of Owlcat Games. “Working with such a remarkable world as Warhammer 40,000 is a great honor for us, but of course also a great responsibility and challenge for us as a team.”

“The darkness of the 41st millennium is a harsh place filled with boundless evil, unnoticed victims, and immense threats and challenges. All of this is seamlessly combined with an exciting RPG story that gives the player great freedom for in-game decisions. We want to provide the game with everything that CRPG fans love: fateful choices, non-linear stories, strong and diverse companions, coupled with complex gameplay to master.”
