Fortnite’s Chapter 3 Season 3 is getting closer, but Epic Games is still cryptic. There are only vague teasers so far, which we take a closer look at here.

Cary, North Carolina – It’s almost time for the big collision in Fortnite. Season 2 of Chapter 3 is scheduled to end on June 3rd and then move into the new Season 3 with a big event. Not too much is known about the event and the new season, but Epic Games is already fueling the hype about the transition with a few teasers. After some first clips, the studio has now also sent new excerpts to well-known influencers around the game. Let’s take a closer look at them.

Fortnite: Epic Games sends cryptic teasers to well-known influencers

What has Epic Games shared so far? Epic Games got started in mid-May when the Cary, North Carolina-based developer studio posted a cryptic video on social media with the caption “Rise.” Since then, Epic has continued to share clips and videos teasing the date for Season 3 and the accompanying live event. The “Collision” event is scheduled to take place in Fortnite on June 4th at 10:00 p.m. German time.

What other teasers are there? In addition to the big announcements and reveals on Twitter, Epic Games has thrown out other teasers that are even more puzzling. The studio has sent small snippets of images to various major content creators, the first of whom was Fortnite professional and YouTuber Ali-A. Additional parts of the teaser went to international Fortnite personalities such as Hiper and TheGrefg. The picture isn’t finished yet, but the remaining individual pieces should follow in the coming days before the start of the new season. This is what the picture looks like so far:

Fortnite: This is what the teasers reveal about Season 3

What does all this mean for Season 3? It looks like it’s going to be interplanetary in Season 3 of Fortnite. A hologram of a planet could already be seen in the first teaser image from Ali-A, apparently with a red dot on the Fortnite island. Several arrows are pointing to the dot from space, which could mean that something or someone extraterrestrial could have their sights set on the island. The remaining parts of the teaser only show the lower halves of two legs, but this could indicate the rebuilt Mechabear, which was also shown in the Fortnite lobby background as a reference to Season 3.

An alternative to the Mechabear would be the Mecha Team Leader, who is said to have an appearance in the live event. At first it was assumed that the Mecha Team Leader was just a fake as it was based on a fan design. However, his outfit already appears in Fortnite’s item shop, so Epic Games should have taken over the design.

But the question is how the teasers from Epic Games are compatible with the previously known leaks for Season 3 of Fortnite. According to information known so far, the upcoming season will be called “Drought” because after the live event, practically all water on the island should disappear. Hopefully the other teasers will provide more answers, but we will be smarter at the latest at the live event on June 4th.
