Resident Evil 4 is getting a remake for PS5

It’s finally official! After years of speculation and what felt like a Brockhaus collection of rumours at the State of Play finally announced a remake of Resident Evil 4. But that’s not all for Resi fans: Resident Evil Village is finally getting the mode we’ve been waiting for for so long.

When will Resident Evil 4 be released? Unfortunately, nothing will happen this year, because it starts on March 24, 2023.

Resident Evil 4 Remake probably only on next-gen

So far, only a PS5 version has been mentioned at the State of Play. That was also the case when Village was unveiled and a PS4 version was also announced later, but whether the last gen will still be supported in 2023 is at least questionable.

Will there also be an Xbox Series version? There will also be, Capcom will have that after the event revealed via Twitter. The remake is also coming to PC.

PSVR2 content is coming: Sony’s upcoming VR headset will also be supported with the remake. However, whether the entire game can be played in VR or whether we only get outsourced content such as a Mercenaries mode remains to be seen.

VR version announced for Resident Evil Village

It was a bit of a disappointment when Village was released in June 2021, but exactly one year later we at least have confirmation that Capcom is currently working on a VR mode for Resident Evil Village.

Is there already a release? When exactly we can look Heisenberg, Lady Dimitrescu and Co. deep in the eyes is not yet known.

It’s official, what’s your take on Resident Evil 4 Remake?
