Resident Evil 4 Remake for PS5 is official

after the successful remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 now follows the long-awaited one Reboot of Resident Evil 4. It’s long been rumored that Capcom was working behind the scenes on rejuvenating Leon S. Kennedy’s adventures in the Dark Village. So now it’s official and the State of Play immediately provided first impressions and the release date.

The video shows beautifully how the GameCube adventure of that time has evolved graphically. In addition to the protagonist Leon, there is also a first look at Ada Wong, Ashley and the Ganados. The story revolves around the rescue operation of the President’s daughter Ashley. Leon travels to a Spanish village to rescue the girl from a mysterious cult and encounters a growing threat in the form of the Las Plagas parasites.

When is the release?

Right at the beginning of the reveal, Capcom already showed the release date. At the March 24, 2023 will “Resident Evil 4” for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC appear. The Last Gen consoles will therefore probably not be supplied.

PSVR 2 content announced

In addition, content for PS VR 2 promised for the “Resident Evil 4” remake. We did not go into more detail about this. However, since the game is played in third person, there will probably be an additional mode or other slimmed-down content for the new VR glasses for PS5.
