Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 & Z Fold4: Leak reveals the most important specs

offer

A trustworthy leaker recently published all the important specs for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. While there are likely to be few improvements to the Galaxy Z Flip4, the Z Fold4 looks set to get some exciting upgrades.

The leaked information comes from the Twitter user @heyitsyogesh, who is a reliable source for smartphone leaks. According to him, the Galaxy Z Flip4 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. This should bring significantly more performance than the Snapdragon 888 5G that was used in the predecessor. The processor should be supported by 8 GB of RAM and either 128 GB or 256 GB of internal memory.

Otherwise hardly any innovations compared to the predecessor

There are only minimal changes to the displays and cameras. The sAMOLED main display again measures 6.7 inches diagonally and offers FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hertz refresh rate. At 2.1 inches, the cover display is said to be slightly larger than its predecessor, where it measures 1.9 inches.

The cameras appear to be identical to the Galaxy Z Flip3, at least at first glance. A 12-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10-megapixel selfie camera will also be used in the successor. It is currently not known whether there will be minor technical differences.

With a capacity of 3,700 mAh, the battery of the Galaxy Z Flip4 is said to be around 12 percent larger than its predecessor. And there is also a small improvement when it comes to charging: fast charging via the cable should now be possible with 25 instead of 15 watts. Without a cable, the charging power is still 10 watts.

Galaxy Z Fold4 arguably getting more upgrades

The specs of the Galaxy Z Fold4 look a little different. According to information from @heyitsyogesh received more improvements compared to its predecessor. A Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 should also provide enough computing power in the Z Fold4. In addition to 12 GB of RAM, 16 GB is also offered this time. Internal storage options are the same as the Z Fold3 at 256GB and 512GB.

According to the leaker, there could also be upgrades to the camera equipment. Instead of a 12-megapixel main camera like the predecessor, the Z Fold4 is said to get a 50-megapixel camera. The resolutions of the ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses are arguably identical at a 12-megapixel resolution on both models, but the telephoto lens could offer a 3x optical zoom instead of 2x this time.

With the resolution of the selfie camera, everything will remain the same, it should still have 10 megapixels. There should be a significant improvement in the under-display camera. If this was still a nice gimmick with a 4-megapixel resolution on the Z Fold3, the 16-megapixel under-display cam in the Z Fold4 could even take quite decent photos.

When it comes to the battery and display, the Z Fold4 will hardly change anything compared to its predecessor. The battery capacity should still be 4,400 mAh and the fast charging with an output of 25 watts should be just as fast. Even with the display specs, everything remains the same: the inner display is said to still be 7.6 inches in size and supports 120 Hertz again. The outer display will probably stay with the 6.2 inches of the predecessor and also offers a refresh rate of 120 Hertz.
