Midnight Suns: Leak reveals release date and new playable heroes

Firaxis Games has probably revised Marvel's Midnight Suns extensively.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the turn-based tactical RPG from XCOM studio Firaxis, was pushed back to 2022 last November. There hasn’t been a real release date yet, but the developers said at least in May of this year that we should be getting one soon. A few days ago we also received a new trailer for the title, which showed the progress made by the developers.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns release date leaked

It looks like a few interesting things have now been leaked about the new title’s box art and pre-orders. 2K Games has now had the associated image removed due to copyright claims, but how Nils Ahrensmeier explained on Twitter, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is set to be released on October 6, 2022. There will also be three different editions. Standard, Enhanced Edition, which will include five premium skins for Captain America, Captain Marvel, Magik, Nico Minoru, and Wolverine, and a Legendary Edition with 23 premium skins and the Season Pass, which will also include access to four DLCs granted.

The leak also revealed which Marvel heroes will still be part of the game. From the twelve playable characters we already knew Doctor Strange, Magik, Iron Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade, Captain America, Nico Minoru, and Captain Marvel. These are now joined by Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch. The last unheralded hero could possibly be Dr. Michael Morbius, but don’t get your hopes up too high.
