Rockstar Games is said to be working on a new project – probably not a GTA 6

The New York developer Rockstar Games will soon present a new project, says insider Chris Klippel. This is probably not GTA 6.

New York – Fans are eagerly awaiting GTA 6 from Rockstar Games. The next game in the GTA series was announced in early February with a small but nice tweet. Since then, the project has been quiet. But now a French journalist and insider thinks that an announcement from Rockstar Games is coming soon. But it should probably be a brand new project and not GTA 6.

New project in the works at Rockstar Games: It’s clear that the New York developer Rockstar Games isn’t just sitting around idly, but is already busy working on the next title in Grand Theft Auto. After all, the fans have been waiting for the game for several years. But so far there has not been a lot of information about GTA 6 – fans have not received a trailer or a release date yet.

So while fans are eagerly awaiting any GTA 6 news, the developer from New York also seems to be working on another project. This was announced by French insider and journalist Chris Klippel on Twitter. As he wrote on May 31 on Twitter:

Apparently an announcement is being prepared. I don’t know when or what it’s all about, but it would be a ‘new project’. The announcement could come relatively soon. 🙂

A brand new game from Rockstar Games? Fans seemed outraged under the Klippel post. After all, they would like to finally get GTA 6 news.

Rockstar Games is probably planning a new project – What about GTA 6?

What about GTA 6? Under the post von Klippel, a fan wrote that it was still too early for a big announcement of GTA 6. Other games would not be known, so the user assumes that it could at most be a remake or remaster. In reply to this, Klippel only wrote that GTA 6 is certainly not the only game that Rockstar is currently developing.

Fans had hoped in the past that Rockstar Games would be working on Bully 2. A leak seemed to indicate that and that would actually be a brand new project for the New York developer. However, it is not yet possible to say whether such an announcement will actually come soon and if so, for which game. It is quite possible that Rockstar shares more information about GTA 6. A new PlayStation state of play is coming soon. Rockstar Games could use this opportunity to announce the “new project”. After all, GTA 5 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X was also shown for the first time at such a show.
