Sega wants that on October 27th, 2022 in Japan Mega Drive Mini 2 launch. As with the predecessor, the release of the mini-console in the “Land of the Rising Sun” was almost a month before that in our latitudes. We don’t know anything about the current European release yet.

Below we list the titles we already know that the small console should contain. A total of 50 titles are to be uploaded, including mega CD games.

Whether the console itself or the final game list performs similarly as in the Gamescom 2019 report on the first Mega Drive Mini-Console of Benjamin Brown, remains to be seen. Prices on the Japan Sega site are listed as 9,980 yen (excluding tax) 10,978 yen (including tax). The latter currently corresponds to around 78 euros.
