WoW Patch 9.2.5 brings a whole range of changes, including some innovations in the Ruins of Lordaeron and Tirisfal Glades. In this article we will tell you what adjustments you can look forward to and what all this has to do with the Dark Rangers.

With WoW Patch 9.2.5, life returns to the Undercity and Tirisfal Glades – well, the undead life anyway. Because after Sylvanas completely infested the city and surrounding lands of Lordaeron during the Alliance siege, the remaining Forsaken set out to make their homeland livable again. This is exactly what is noticeable with the current update on the WoW live servers.

WARNING: Spoilers for Patch 9.2.5 follow.

Dark Rangers, Brill, and the Blight Cleanse

Derek Proudmoore, Calia Menethil, Lilian Voss, and the dark ranger Veolnara set out to cleanse the ruins of Lordaeron and reclaim them for the Forsaken in patch 9.2.5. One of the ways you can support their efforts is through the quest line that unlocks the Dark Rangers as a customization option for Elven characters.

You can see how the lower city and the ruins of Lordaeron and the surrounding Tirisfal, including Brill, have changed with patch 9.2.5 in a video by Youtuber MrGM:

Specifically, the update includes the following adjustments:

  • You cannot enter Undercity; the elevator in the throne room no longer exists.
  • Derek Proudmoore, Calia Menethil, Lilian Voss, and the dark ranger Veolnara can be found within the ruins of Lordaeron, as well as some merchants previously found in the Undercity (guild merchants, stable masters, weapon merchants, and others).
  • Dark rangers have spread throughout the city walls to defend the ruins.
  • The plague that Sylvanas smothered the city in Battle for Azeroth is gone.
  • The Forsaken have reclaimed Brill. Undead workers are constructing a building there.
  • There is a flight point again in Brill and many NPCs have returned to the city.
