F1 Manager 2022: release date and gameplay trailer

from Andrew Link
F1 Manager 2022 has a release date and gameplay trailer. Frontier Development will release the title in August.

It has been teased for a long time, now it has been delivered: F1 Manager 2022 has a release date of August 30, 2022 and also gets a gameplay trailer in which you can see more for the first time. The focus is on the visualization of the races, which are displayed in the F1 Manager with 3D graphics. Purists will probably turn this off and settle for the 2D overview. You can also see, among other things, the settings for the vehicles and you can hear the “English voice of Formula 1”, David Croft.

“As Team Principal, you are challenged to lead an official F1 team to fame and glory through smart management and strategy, both on and off the track. Forge a path to success at race weekends using data, driver feedback and intuition. Give your drivers detailed Directions, deliver the optimal strategy and react to unpredictable moments to achieve victory. Off the track, make all the important decisions and create a long-term plan for your team. Balance the books and work within budget. Develop new parts for your cars. Scout and hire real F1® drivers and staff for your team. Expand and improve your facilities. Vote on rules and adapt to changes as your journey takes you through several seasons and decades.”

F1 Manager 2022 will try, like the racing games from Codemasters, to remain as beginner-friendly as possible and also to pick up people whose first contact with Formula 1 came about through the Netflix series. It will therefore be exciting to see whether Frontier Development can also pick up enthusiasts for whom Motorsport Manager was a bit too much of a mobile game in its mechanics and who (at the time) will exhume Ascon’s pole position from 1994 as a benchmark. In any case, the first impression of the fans on YouTube is quite positive.
