from Sebastian Glanzer
On June 30, 2022, the new Minions film “Searching for the Mini Boss” will be released in German cinemas. In the second installment of the Minions series from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, the yellow goofs must free their boss, who has been kidnapped. The third and final trailer sets the mood for the crazy animated film.

With MINIONS – IN SEARCH OF THE MINI BOSS, the most successful animated franchise of all time goes back to the beginning and tells how the Minions and Gru became an unbeatable team in their joint adventures against “The Fiesen 6”. Sometime in the 1970s, long before his spectacular career in the evil world, Gru (Oliver Rohrbeck) is just a 12-year-old suburban boy determined to become a super villain and take over the world.

However, his plan is not going particularly well. But then Gru meets the excited Minions (buy now €8.70), including crowd favorites Kevin, Stuart and Bob, and newcomer Otto, and the result is a family that is as crazy as it is devoted. Together they build their first shelter, design their first weapons and tackle their first missions. When the notorious gang of villains “Die Fiesen 6” dethrones their leader, martial arts legend Wilder Knucklecracker (Thomas Gottschalk), Gru, as her most loyal fanboy, sees his chance and applies for the vacant position. Unfortunately, “The Fiesen 6” aren’t particularly impressed by the tiny would-be villain – until he outsmarts them and suddenly becomes the declared archenemy of the mean masterminds.

LOOKING FOR THE MINI BOSS

When Gru is suddenly kidnapped, his fate is in the hands of his little yellow friends, who immediately go in search of their mini-boss and do everything they can to save him. Once again, the creators of the Despicable Me universe present their unique mix of subversive humour, laid-back pop culture quotes, heartfelt sentiments, amusing and astounding musical interludes, breathtaking art Fu action as well as flower power, fun and happy mayhem, this time accompanied by a murderous 70’s soundtrack by Grammy winner Jack Antonoff. In the German language version, moderation icon Thomas Gottschalk inspires in the role of Wild Knucklecracker.
