The leak was right, God of War is among the PS Plus free games in June 2022. But many are anything but satisfied with the blockbuster in the line-up.

Update from June 2nd, 2022, 11:46 am: The monthly free games that PS Plus will offer its subscribers in June 2022 are officially known and once again it’s clear: the leak on PS Plus’ June line-up was right and correctly predicted the games days in advance.

So it’s official: Among other things, PlayStation Plus members can look forward to the blockbuster God of War. Or not, because many people are not happy at all, as became apparent shortly after the leak. The discussions about this really strong title are now going on heatedly.

Original message from May 31, 2022: Hamburg – Leak! As is so often the case, there was a leak at Sony just before the PS Plus games of the month were officially announced. The Spanish site Areajugones already wants to know the three free games for June. The free games that you get with the PS Plus subscription are said to be Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, Nickelodeon All Star Brawl and the 2018 God of War act. With Kratos detour in the north among the free PS Plus games in June, many players have a big problem even before official confirmation from Sony.

PS Plus: God of War among June’s free games causes frustration

What do players have against God of War in the PS Plus lineup for June? Gamers also have no doubt that God of War is one of the highlights of the Sony PS4 games library. However, many players are currently wondering what God of War is doing among the free games for PS Plus in June. The fact is that very specific conditions must be met for the title to be worthwhile for fans in the PS Plus subscription.

User Ajs723 catches up Reddit currently impressive when you can even look forward to God of War on PS Plus. Owners of the PS5 fall out of his equation from the start, because here God of War is available free of charge for all users as part of the PS Plus Collection anyway. In order for God of War to be worthwhile in the June line-up, one must inevitably only own a PS4 including PS Plus. If you are currently a user of the expiring PS Now service, you already have access to God of War.

PS Plus: God of War is probably only worthwhile for very few players

What further reduces the joy of God of War on PS Plus? After the subscription change from PS Plus, all players with PS Plus Extra or PS Plus Premium will also have free access to God of War anyway. If you don’t enjoy the father-son adventure through all of this, God of War now costs no more than 10 euros from retailers. Fans therefore see the title in the PS Plus lineup in June as a filler that is basically of little use to anyone and could be better replaced by another game.

There are enough other ideas and wishes for games on PS Plus. In recent weeks there has been speculation about a Bloober Team game on PS Plus. Rumors have also been circulating that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order could be among the PS Plus free games for June. The official resolution, which games really made it into the program, will be given to players on June 1st at around 5:30 p.m. Until then, fingers crossed that God of War doesn’t take any of the coveted spots – sorry Kratos.
