Fortnite: Free skin for PS Plus revealed – so you get it

Epic Games is once again generous on PS4 and PS5. With PS Plus, subscribers can dust off a new free skin pack.

Cary, North Carolina – It’s easy to forget that there’s more to PS Plus than regular free games and access to online multiplayer on PS4 and PS5. Subscribers can also regularly secure free bonuses for larger games, such as Fortnite. All along, Epic Games and People Can Fly are bringing special little bundles to the online service, which subscribers can grab completely free from the PlayStation Store. A new skin pack for Fortnite is coming to PS Plus in June and will again bring an exclusive outfit.

Which Skin Pack is free? Every few months, Epic Games and Sony collaborate to release a new skin pack for Fortnite that PS Plus subscribers can get completely free. If you don’t play on the PlayStation, but on Xbox Series X, PC, Nintendo Switch, other consoles or Android, you have no way of getting the packs.

There have already been nine of these free skins, and the tenth is coming in June 2022. This is the “Blizzard Bomber” outfit, which, despite the approaching summer, comes with a pretty wintery look. There is also a matching back accessory “Mountaineer Must-Haves”.

The new free skin pack for Fortnite fits perfectly behind the last bundle that was free with PS Plus. A new pickaxe called “Snow Fangs” and the “Snow Clothes” finish were still available there until the very end. The “Blizzard Bomber” fits perfectly into the ranks, provided that you are drawn to the more mountainous areas of the Fortnite map in Season 3.

Where can you get the skin pack? Currently, the free skin pack is not yet available on PS Plus as the aforementioned pickaxe and wrap pack is still in rotation. Once the new Blizzard Bomber pack has been traded in for it, PS Plus subscribers can easily purchase the skin on the PlayStation Store website find and redeem. Alternatively, there is also a page in the Fortnite tab of the PlayStation Store on PS4 and PS5 where the free pack can be found.

How long will the skin be on PS Plus? It is currently not possible to say exactly how long the availability of the free Fortnite skin pack will last. Unlike the monthly free games on PS Plus, there are no fixed dates for the free Battle Royale skins when they appear and disappear in the PlayStation Store. However, the “special packages” are usually available to subscribers for several weeks. So you can take your time, as long as you don’t dawdle too much.
