One Piece Odyssey: New trailer introduces setting

During the Summer Game Fest, publisher Bandai Namco released a new trailer for One Piece Odyssey. We get a first glimpse of the setting of the next pirate adventure.

One Piece Odyssey: Setting, characters and more in the new trailer

In the new trailer for One Piece Odyssey, which lasts more than two minutes and which we don’t want to withhold from you below, we get to see a lot. Above all, the beautiful world in which the crew around Monkey D. Luffy roams in search of the next adventure seems appealing. Stranded on the legendary island of Waford, the Straw Hatbanede meet the energetic Adio and the more secretive Lim. Both characters were specially designed by chief artist and inventor Eiichiro Oda and celebrate their first major appearance in One Piece Odyssey.

What One Piece Odyssey is about

As the title of the game might suggest, you embark on a never-ending journey across the vast expanses of Waford Island alongside the Mugiwara Pirates. You not only have to face various obstacles, but above all you have to take on powerful opponents and bosses in turn-based but no less action-packed battles.

You are free to choose which Straw Hat Pirates character you would most like to play in One Piece Odyssey. Of course, Captain Luffy is part of the game, as well as swordsman Zorro, cook Sanji, navigator Nami and, in addition to the animal doctor Chopper or the lie baron Usopp, all the newer members such as Nico Robin, Fanky and Brook.

According to publisher Bandai Namco, who was already responsible for the One Piece titles before Odyssey, the game will be released later this year for the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 5, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and the computer.
