The board game from Queen’s Gambit will soon be available as a video game

We’ve known for a long time that Netflix wants to get more into the video game business. Netflix customers can already play some of the company’s titles with the Netflix app at no extra charge, and at this year’s Geeked Week, the streaming provider announced a few more games that will soon be part of Netflix’s repertoire.

Netflix series Queen’s Gambit gets video game

There are about with poinpy a new platformer, which is available immediately. All you have to do is find it in your Netflix app and you can start playing immediately. The popular indie game Spiritfarer is also expected to be available on the Netflix app soon, and the new rogue-lite game from the creators of Monument Valley is also getting a release on Netflix.

It should be interesting for all fans of Queen’s Gambit that Chess the board game played in the series has now been turned into a video game. Dubbed The Queen’s Gambit Chess, players can move their pieces around the checkered board while characters from the show either coax or stand in their way.

As read in the accompanying trailer description, players can take lessons, solve puzzles, and even compete against friends in this one more than a thousand years old compete in a brand new board game. Also there will probably be different visual boards and some modifiers for the game. Additionally, players can choose different skins for their Chess-Unlock Queen’s Gambit characters, allowing them to add their own twist to their board game play.
