Looks like Hollow Knight: Silksong might be coming straight to Game Pass
Hornet walks straight into Game Pass?
Anyone out there looking forward to Hollow Knight: Silksong? I know at least two here in the editorial office, my colleagues Dennis and Kevin will probably faint with joy the next time there is something to see about the game.
But when that will be is still really clear, the title has generally made itself quite rare. A release date is still pending, meanwhile it has been more than three years since the title was announced.

And the current ongoing Summer Game Fest is now the great hope of many fans, because a tweet last week at least gave an idea that Hollow Knight Silksong could have an appearance at the Summer Game Fest. The title didn’t show up at Thursday’s opening show, but there are still a few possibilities, including the Microsoft & Bethesda Showcase 2022.

Because that might fit with a rumor that the insider “The Snitch” posted on Twitter. Inside is a picture of the Hollow Knight, topped with the simple info: “Day One” and a green dot. Based on the insider’s previous tweets, this suggests that there’s a very good chance this is the Xbox Game Pass is meant.

Wait a minute, isn’t that just a rumor? Yes, yes, but the source makes the whole thing particularly interesting. Because The Snitch has a remarkable track record, said in the past few days, among other things, the release date or Reveal of the Last of Us remake emerged and released one prior to the last State of Play List of announcements and gamesall of which were correct.
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean The Snitch is right on Hollow Knight, but based on The Snitch’s hit rate, you could joke that the Day 1 release is pretty much done with that. Hollow Knight: Silksong is the sequel to the Metroidvania hit from Australian developer Team Cherry. In it you play the beetle lady Hornet, who you already got to know in the first part. She is particularly good at prancing through the air and pulling herself from opponent to opponent with her weapon.
Silksong is set in a new kingdom with over 150 new enemy types and fresh bosses. As in the first part, you explore the world, learn new skills, meet friendly bugs and fight your way through tough enemies.

If Hollow Knight: Silksong isn’t shown on the Microsoft & Bethesda Showcase, there’s a chance we might see the title on the next Nintendo Direct, which hasn’t been announced yet. And there will definitely not be a confirmation that the title will be included in Game Pass when it is launched.
