Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria brings survival and crafting to Middle-earth

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is a brand new survival and crafting game set in Middle-earth.

Free Range Games is developing the new title, which will be distributed by publisher North Beach Games and will be available exclusively on the Epic Games Store for PC.

On the way with the dwarves

In The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, follow the dwarves as they embark on a new adventure to reclaim their homeland of Moria.

Up to eight players can explore the mines together, craft items there and try to survive.

You build your base in suitable places, but you also have to protect it from dark forces that want to destroy your progress. Likewise, you must pay attention to sleep, temperature, and noise levels while exploring the mines.

On your travels you can discover ancient magical artifacts, such as swords that glow when orcs are nearby. Otherwise you assemble everything from armor to tools, weapons to buildings.

Your individual adventure

With the character editor, you can start by tinkering with your own dwarf and put your personal stamp on it.

However, Moria will generate new procedurally for each adventure. You don’t have to work with other players either, you can explore Moria alone.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is due out in 2023.
