New “Alien” game “Dark Descent” will be released in 2023

Focus Entertainment and Tindalos Interactive have announced a new video game set in the universe of the cult science fiction film series, Alien. In Aliens: Dark Descent, the player leads small teams of elite human soldiers into battle against their alien adversaries.

The tactical mix of action and strategy game will be released in 2023 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, the exact date has not yet been revealed. But a lot is already known about the content: “Dark Descent” tells a single-player storyline on a remote moon and sends the player into the fight against aliens from the small “Facehugger” to the mighty queen. There is also fighting against nasty corporate henchmen. In order to be victorious in tactical battles, the player must equip his team in a balanced way and use different soldier classes and items. After successful missions, the troops can be upgraded with new skills, armor and weapons. The player also builds up a base in which new technologies are researched in the course of the campaign.
