the Xbox + Bethesda Presentation airs this afternoon, and you can watch all the news unfolding right here with us.
As for what to expect today, no one knows except Microsoft and Bethesda.
Bethesda will probably show more than star fieldwhich was originally scheduled for a November release before being pushed to 2023.
The study may also show more than red fall, Arkane Austin’s vampire-themed open-world cooperative FPS. It was originally scheduled for release this year, only to move to 2023.
We’re likely to hear what’s next for both of us Fallout 76 and Zenimax Online Studios’ The Elder Scrolls online. Speaking of Zenimax Online Studios, there is a rumor going around which has a Mandalorian MMO in the works. If true, maybe it will be revealed during the show.
id Software recently posted a job listing for a senior UI programmer to work on an unannounced video game project, so an announcement could happen, but only if it’s far enough along in development, we think.
Wolfenstein studio MachineGames recently noted that it was “excited” for today’s show, so maybe we’ll hear more about it. Indiana Jones game in development.
With GhostWire: Tokyo out, could we find out what’s next for Tango Gameworks? The studio is working on something new right now, according to studio founder Shinji Mikami, who told Famitsu earlier this year that the game is “the complete opposite of horror.” The game’s development may be too early for an announcement, but at least we know the studio isn’t resting on its laurels.
So the team at Bethesda’s Roundhouse Studios, made up of former Prey Human Head developers, might announce something. At this time it is unknown what the team is working on, but a renewed trademark application for spy team I was recently presented by Bethesda. Originally introduced in 2015 and revamped again in 2020, the game could be the online team-based PvPvE third-person shooter based on a major comic book license Human Head was working on before being acquired by Bethesda.
And finally, with Bethesda “putting the finishing touches on Starfield,” it’s possible, and we say this firmly, that we might hear something in The Elder Scrolls 6. One can dream, right? Announced four years ago at E3 2018, studio boss Todd Howard said the next Elder Scrolls game shouldn’t be expected until its sci-fi game is over. Still, The Elder Scrolls 6 is in early development, so appearing on the show would be a wild card, and sadly we’re not expected to discuss it, at least not us.
As far as Microsoft is concerned, there may be all sorts of updates and announcements during the showcase.
Rumors online say that the next Fable Y perfect darkness there will be absences, but that we could hear something at the end of Obsidian.
The studio is very busy at the moment, with work on Declared, Groundedand a sequel to the outer worlds. obsidian designer Josh Sawyer seems to be hinting at something from the studio at least. Maybe it’s the rumored RPG penance it is said to be titled Pentient and that it will be an “indie style” game.
So what’s new?
We Happy Few developer Compulsion Games has a new IP in development that is said to be called midnight project right now. Then there are rumors of a Banjo-Kazooie upcoming class announcement; we could be in some force horizon 5 downloadable content; Microsoft could release a firm October release date for the HR Giger-inspired horror game Disdain; and A44 could announce a 2022 release date for Flintlock: The Dawn Siege.
There are also current games like infinity halo, sea of thieves, Minecraft, Microsoft Flight SimulatorY age of empires 4 Microsoft could talk, and maybe even whatever inXile Y double fine they are working right now. Possibly even something at Rare’s Everwild.
And what about the next next game of the coalition and news about State of decomposition 3? Maybe. you never know
Turn 10 has force 8 in development, said to be a proper next-gen experience and reimagining of the series. The studio is sure to show more of the game, especially since it opened test registration back in April.
And finally, Ninja Theory could share a release date for Senua Saga: Hellblade 2 – or at least give us another look.
We’re just thinking out loud about all of this, so you’ll have to tune in to the show to find out for yourself.
Microsoft and Bethesda might be saving some announcements for the extended showing that will air on Tuesday, June 14. Running for 90 minutes, like last year, the follow-up presentation will include new trailers and an in-depth look at some of the new announcements.
