A new update is now available.

The online servers for Elden Ring were down for a while today, and for good reason: the action RPG has received its next major update. Version 1.05 brings you lots of bug fixes and more.

Only small changes in content

It’s all about this: This time you can’t expect any story extensions, such as additional NPCs or new encounters with already known characters. The changes in content are mainly focused on the New Game Plus. You can now take some of your sound pearls with you on the new journey. Or: In NG+ you can buy the items directly from the twin dealers that you unlocked with the beads during your first run.

These are the additional items included in the patch notes Bandai Namco be listed:

  • In transactions with the NPC “Twin Maiden Husk”, the following Bell Bearing items have been changed so that their liberated status will be carried over to the NG+ play.

Troubleshooting the combat system: The new update is intended to fix numerous bugs. Among them are problems or imbalances affecting the combat system, i.e. ashes of war or weapons. Among other things, the effect of the Royal Knight’s Resolve ability should now wear off at the right time for all weapons. Also, the moonlight greatsaber should now always hit the intended target, which was occasionally not the case before.

Problems with bosses and NPCs: The new update also addresses errors that affect bosses or characters and their quest lines. This addressed an issue where players were unable to go to the grace from the map after defeating Radahn. The following tip can be found in the patch notes:

If you can’t get to the mercy from the map, you can get to the mercy by touching Radahn’s mercy.

A bug that could cause Malenia to have low HP in her second stage has also been addressed. Alexander’s quest line, which could not be continued under certain circumstances, has also been reworked.

Additional fix: In addition to the points mentioned, there are improvements in the stability of online multiplayer, troubleshooting of the sounds and texts, faster loading times on Xbox Series X/S and unspecified performance improvements.
