Stalker 2 apparently postponed to 2023: Ukrainian studio needs more time

According to Xbox, Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl will not be released until 2023. During Sunday’s Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, the manufacturer listed 50 games coming to Xbox and PC within the next 12 months. Among them was Stalker 2.

Even in difficult times we have to keep going

All games listed have been split into 2022 and 2023. Since Stalker 2 was scheduled for December 8, 2022 after an initial postponement, the game should still have been in the list for this year.

All games coming to Xbox or Game Pass in 2022 or 2023.

But Stalker 2 was featured in the 2023 section. This strongly suggests that it will be postponed to next year. Given the circumstances in which the Ukrainian development studio GSC Game World finds itself, this is more than understandable.

More news about Stalker 2:

In March, the studio put development work on Stalker 2 on hold due to the Russian invasion. The team was transferred from Kyiv to Prague during this period. Meanwhile, work on the game has resumed.
