Dying Light 2: Update brings photo mode and free story chapter today

Developer Techland released the new update 1.4 for Dying Light 2: Stay Human today.

This brings you, among other things, the photo mode expected by the fans, with which you can take beautiful pictures in the future.

A free story chapter

But that’s not all. Jump into a free story chapter with In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner.

Players will be tasked with helping the character Harper, a former Nightrunner, in his quest to fight the special infected that threaten the people of The City. “The reward is access to powerful new gear.”

According to Techland, it’s the beginning of the 5-year support plan for Dying Light 2.

This is otherwise new in the update

There is also a new ranking system and unlockables. The new system aims to strengthen the bond between player and agent. Sufficient Reputation Points will rank you up, giving you access to high-quality weapons, outfits, and consumables.

With daily and weekly bounties, you face the infected in nocturnal activities that bring you said reputation points.

At the same time, two new currencies will be introduced: “In order to be able to buy new items, players must first collect mutation samples from the corpses of the Special Infected and acquire unique Harper Tokens with each new rank.”

After installing the update, you will also encounter two new enemies, the Volatile Tyrant and the Volatile Hive.

And last but not least: “Players can purchase a special Chapter Mission ticket from the Chapter Agent and try to complete extremely challenging and demanding time trials to test their stealth, parkour or combat skills to the limit.”
