Players in GTA Online shows why explosive ammo is so powerful

In GTA Online you can upgrade your weapons with explosive ammunition. A clip shows why this can be so strong with sniper rifles.

What ammo is that? If you buy weapons from the weapon shop, they are in the standard version. With the help of a bunker and related research, you can unlock explosive ammunition. In the Mobile Command Center, guns such as the heavy sniper rifle can be converted into an MKII version, which can then use the explosive ammunition.

When the ball hits the target, there is a small explosion. A clip is currently circulating on reddit that shows how strong this combination can be.

Kill Jet Pilots with Explo-Sniper – “That’s op”

This is what happens in the clip: On reddit, user Jaustin30 shares a clip titled “That’s why I love explosive snipers.” Sitting on a hill in his Apocalypse Bruiser, he can already see an approaching jet pilot on the minimap. He fires a rocket at Jaustin30, but can’t do much damage to his solid vehicle.

He gets out of his car and unpacks his MKII heavy sniper rifle, which is loaded with explosive ammunition. A well-aimed shot hits the flying jet directly, exploding the plane and killing the pilot at the same time.
