Resident Evil Village gets story expansion

Capcom is giving a story extension to their horror game Resident Evil Village. The add-on called “Winters Expansion” brings new features such as a third-person view to the eighth part of the cult series and adds new components to the storyline.

Capcom announced this at a major streaming presentation. The new story mode called “Shadow’s Rose” should therefore be set a few years after the events of the main game and let the player slip into the skin of the daughter of Ethan Winters – the “Village” main character. The expansion will come on October 28th, when the main game will also be relaunched as a “Gold Edition” including the expansion. Capcom’s full “Showcase” stream review: In addition to the “Village” expansion, Capcom announced even more supplies for “Resident Evil” fans. The “Resident Evil” parts 2, 3 and 7 will receive a next-gen update with which PS5 and Xbox Series owners can use refinements such as ray tracing and high frame rates. In addition, after the second and third part, the fourth is now being reissued as a remaster.
