Resident Evil 7: No free upgrade of the PS Plus version possible

Resident Evil 7 on the PS Plus Collection will not benefit from the recently released PS5 upgrade for the game.

Users report that an upgrade of this version is not possible. Instead, the normal retail version must be purchased.

For purchased versions only

The PS Plus Collection includes a total of 19 games for the PlayStation 4 that PS5 owners can download with their PS Plus subscription. One of them is Resident Evil 7.

The PS5 upgrades (also available for Xbox Series X/S and PC) were released this week not only for part seven, but also for Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3.
