PS5: is a pro controller coming? Allegedly planned by Sony

Sony is reportedly planning to announce new hardware, including a “Pro” controller for the PlayStation 5.

That claims at least insider Tom Henderson citing several sources.

Planned for the end of June

According to said sources, the announcement of this new hardware is planned for the end of June. A new console model is not among them.

The new gamepad is described as a “true pro controller” for the PS5. The analog sticks, grips, trigger stops and backpaddles are said to be removable.

It is said that the analog sticks can be completely removed so that in case of problems you can simply replace the entire stick instead of having to buy a new controller right away.

According to Henderson, there are imm images of a supposed prototype for this controller, which should also bring extensive software upgrades.

There is currently no official information regarding new hardware for the PS5.
