Good news for those who have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription with the expansion pack: the original Pokémon Snap from the N64 joins the rest of the game lineup. That means you’ll soon be able to photograph cute Pokémon in the wild to your heart’s content. Not only, but perhaps especially interesting for fans of the Switch successor New Pokémon Snap. Best of all, it won’t be long before we can enjoy the N64 classic.

Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack adds Pokémon Snap

Nintendo Switch Online works a bit like PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold: For a fixed monthly price, you get access to the online functions of the platform and can then also compete against other players online. In addition, there is a selection of bonus titles for which you do not have to pay extra again – apart from the subscription price.

The Expansion Pass Nintendo Switch Online is then roughly the equivalent of Sony’s new higher PS Plus tiers: you get access to more games and some DLCs, such as the track pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or the Animal Crossing expansion. You also get the opportunity to play N64 games. Another title will soon be added to them with Pokémon Snap.

When is Pokémon Snap coming to the Switch? It won’t be long now, you’ll soon be able to enjoy the N64 classic:

  • On June 24thso next week Friday.

What is Pokemon Snap? In Pokémon Snap you go on a photo safari and try to take the best possible pictures of the little pocket monsters. You cannot move freely, but drive through the area on rails.

But you still have different ways to animate the beasts to certain actions to photograph them in the coolest poses. The original was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. Here you can see the successor:
