Harley Quinn made her debut in September 1992. The character has been an integral part of the DC Universe ever since, and is usually depicted in some sort of “relationship” with the Joker. Prior to this calling, she was the Joker’s psychiatrist, but was infected by his insanity, so she committed herself to a life of crime.

There have been different interpretations of the character over the years, in different universes, all wearing different outfits. The classic Harley Quinn, for example, relies on a fairly classic jester outfit with white face makeup. More modern variants, however, such as those from the films Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey, show Harley with a rather extravagant outfit and dyed hair. Most of the time she traded her trusty hammer for a baseball bat.
