Elden Ring: Popular mod from Dark Souls 3 is under development

Elden Ring Mod: Facilitated Co-op Beta Coming Soon

from Benjamin Grundken
The team behind the popular The Convergence mod for Dark Souls 3 has now dedicated itself to Elden Ring to create a mod of the same name. Plenty of content suggests itself.

There have already been some indications that the modders behind “The Convergence” would also devote themselves to a comprehensive expansion for the Elden Ring after Dark Souls 3. Now the modders have officially started development. What scope Elden Ring: The Convergence brings to the player in the end has not yet been revealed. However, expectations are high after the Dark Souls 3 expansion of the same name.

Not only did the original The Convergence bring new weapons and bosses, it also featured a major redesign of key areas and changes to the Covenant system. Spells and weapons were partly completely rebalanced – a change that many also apply to the Elden Ring hope. From Software apparently saw little need for action here, at least that’s what the latest patches suggest.

If you look at the reactions to the announcement, the feedback is extremely positive. Players are looking forward to possibly exploring more of The Lands Between. It is conceivable in the comments and tweets, for example, that the modders open blocked areas on the map. However, it could still be some time before the release of The Convergence for Elden Ring, especially given that modders have neither the time nor the number of employees of an official studio. Besides, development has only just begun.

Players new to The Convergence can use the original mod to tide them over until the Elden Ring expansion launches.
