Steam insider tip: City building on steep mountains now later and with a new trailer

Laysara: Summit Kingdoms should come onto the market a little later, but it should be able to convince with decent quality and original ideas. The developers have shown this with their latest trailer, which introduces the mines. Therefore, read more about the indie building game that is being developed by just two programmers below.

Laysara: Summit Kingdoms is or will be a city builder that was originally supposed to be released in 2022, but has now been postponed to early 2023. The title from Quite OK Games is supposed to be more than just that and accordingly needs a little longer since it is only being worked on by two individual developers. Nevertheless, the game has a lot of potential, mainly due to its special setting.

American Theft 80s on Steam: When stealing was still hard work

Unlike in other building games, the task here is to build a city or settlements in the mountains. The settlements are then supposed to work together symbiotically and establish trade networks that are mutually beneficial. Players can choose between multiple mountains that have individual weather patterns, resource deposits, and layouts. This should create variety and it should be possible to set different priorities for different mountains.

The developers recently released a new trailer for their game that includes a new feature. Unlike most of the buildings and factories in the game, the mines shown for the first time are not built on flat segments of the mountains, but built directly into mountain walls and rocks to get better access to the resources. This puts them outside of normal gameplay areas and players must manage the appropriate logistics to extract the valuable resources.

Laysara: Summit Kingdoms release date is not yet finally known, but at least the minimum system requirements are already given. The title seems to be very frugal and should get by with a quad-core processor of unknown specification, 4 GiB of RAM and a Geforce GTX 660. Especially against the background that the first screenshots and trailers are quite pretty and the game is supposed to be based on the Unreal Engine, this would speak for good optimizations.
