Stranger Things 4: Officially most watched Netflix show of all time

We recently reported on the immense success of Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1. The series celebrated the most successful start of a Netflix project in the history of the platform. But the success of the series doesn’t stop there. Netflix recently announced that Stranger Things 4 has now become the most-watched Netflix series of all time. So were up to June 14, 2022 according to the platform above 781 million hours Watched Stranger Things 4. At #2 and #3 are the first two seasons of Bridgerton, fourth is Season 3 of Stranger Things, and fifth is Season 1 of The Witcher series. So the success of the fourth season so far cannot be dismissed out of hand. The last two episodes of the fourth season will only be available under the Volume 2 banner from the July 1, 2022 released.

Statistical success through immense length?

Certainly the length of the individual episodes of the series should have helped a lot in this statistic. While in the previous seasons episodes were mostly around 50 to 60 minutes long, the previous seven episodes of Stranger Things 4 are almost all longer than 70 minutes. Episode seven is involved 98 minutes practically feature-length before. This trend is expected to continue for the last two episodes of the season. These should together almost four hours last.
