Ready or Not returns to Steam after trademark dispute

The tactical FPS Ready or Not is back on Steam as of yesterday after being briefly removed due to a trademark dispute. Developer VOID Interactive already has an explanation ready.

Whether you’re ready or not, Ready or Not is back on Steam

The key to this trademark infringement was apparently the “new Night Club map” that was introduced to the game last week as part of the latest update to Early Access.

“We take the intellectual property concerns very seriously and, as a show of good faith, have decided to remove the material in question and any reference to it from Ready or Not and all our social media and other publications,” VOID said on Twitter.

While the team was finalizing the changes, Ready or Not was removed from Steam for a total of two days. But now that the game has resurfaced, it’s safe to assume that the trademark issue has been resolved.

“Attention officers, Ready or Not is back on Steam and available again!” the developer tweeted. “We sincerely apologize for this downtime and hope it was not too inconvenient.”
