Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Shredder’s Revenge from €42.99 Amazon.de to buy.

In our comparison of grades Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Shredder’s Revenge we list tests, reviews, ratings or whatever from the following German online game magazines – regardless of the fact that some of them also publish print offers (aka booklets): CBS (Computer Bild Spiele), GameStar.de (& GamePro. de) GIGA.de, PCGames.de (& Videogameszone.de), Spieletipps.de and, of course, GamersGlobal.de – whereby we politely place ourselves at the end of the review list. What is important to us: A rating can only be a rough description of the game quality – please read the respective test report before you comment on a grade that might be out of the ordinary. The magazines Gameswelt.de and Eurogamer.de no longer appear since they decided to no longer write a rating under their tests.

Just don’t make the mistake of expecting a game that will keep you busy for a long time. The story mode seems alibi-packed in to me so that you have something to show off. No, the appeal of a classic Turtles game lies in digging it out again and again to have a good time with friends. And thanks to the expanded range of levels, it lasts longer than on the SNES.

I’m a Turtles fan and I love the brawler genre and TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is absolutely everything I wanted in a new Turtles brawler. The music is phenomenal, the look has something unique but exudes retro charm. The gameplay is classic, but offers enough game depth and variety. In addition, there is a great game flow and cleverly made modernizations.

COWABUNGA, this is what a Turtles beat ’em up has to look like! Shredders Revenge should give all those who know the TV series nostalgic flashbacks, and you can see the developers’ love for the original on every corner. But even with the game itself, they consciously stick to the classics and dare few experiments. A little more unlockables would have been nice though.
average rating 8.2 *Last checked: 6/20/2022, 3:25 p.m

We calculate the average rating based on the 10 system, so a “75” corresponds to a 7.5. Of course, the rating systems and philosophies differ in detail. If a magazine awards different ratings or grades depending on the platform, we use the highest for the average. If a test has been published by a magazine in the meantime, which is marked as “Not tested” here, we would be happy if you mention the rating along with a link as a comment.
