GTA Online: Server Down on June 22 - How long can you not play?

On June 22nd, GTA Online playability on PC will be limited. Rockstar Games announced maintenance work and server downs.

What is this maintenance work? Usually maintenance work in GTA Online is always related to major updates. Since the maintenance work on June 22nd will only take place for the PC version, it can be assumed that these are bug fixes or other functions that are only available on the PC for the time being.

PC Update June 22 – What’s Happening? start and end

Rockstar Games says: on Twitter the Rockstar Intel account reports on the upcoming maintenance work, citing Rockstar Games support.

It says:

  • Rockstar Services for GTA Online on PC will be temporarily unavailable
  • This applies to the period from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 22nd
  • During the period, some players will not be able to access GTA Online
  • It is assumed that the maintenance work Not run the full 5 hours
  • As soon as the work is completed, the servers will be available again

Start of the server down: Around 07:00 on June 22nd.

End of server down: No later than 12:00 on June 22 (according to the plan).

What could the update bring? This is not officially known yet. However, players are already speculating how the maintenance work could affect them. Possibly it targets hacks and exploits that take place in the PC version of the game and should be prevented.

In the past, there have always been modders in the PC version who manipulated the game to their advantage. Hackers once controlled this ridiculously large Transformer in GTA Online.
