The new “best defender” in FIFA 22 is so dirt cheap that players are suspecting a mistake

That’s very, very low prices for a card like this, given the TOTS event that just ended and the cheap prices for gold players in the market.

The only thing that matters is the TOTW/TOTS player in both segments. They are currently being sold at high prices on the market.

Tip: Uses the repeatable TOTW Upgrade 81+ SBC here. Since you get a usable TOTW player for the SBC at a lower price. Then you fill up the rest of the Chiellini SBC with cheap players from your club or from the market.

What players say: The requirements for the card are so low in proportion that players can hardly believe it. At least that’s what the reaction on the FIFA subreddit looks like:

It doesn’t seem to be a bug though, as the card is still available on the same terms more than a day later. If it was an error, EA would probably have reacted faster here.

It is more likely that the card will be so cheap because Chiellini’s last special SBC was not that long ago. In the Captains event, he already got an excellent card that was even more expensive. Now there’s a new, improved version – and it’s even easier to get.
