The distribution of attributes

Which attributes are important for the demon hunter? With the Demon Hunter, you should use gear with Strength if you want to maximize damage. Strength is the Crossbowman’s most important primary attribute, as it gives him +0.3 bonus damage per point.

Prowess increases armor penetration by +0.1, increasing critical hit damage. This is especially good if you have a high critical hit chance. Increased vitality in turn means more life, which can be an advantage, especially in endgame or PvP.

Willpower is currently of relatively minor importance, but according to theorycrafter Dredscythe, that could change in the future. Willpower increases potential by +0.1, increasing the duration of harmful effects your enemies suffer from. In addition, Willpower increases your resistance by +0.1, reducing the duration of harmful effects inflicted on you by your enemies.

The demon hunter’s worst primary attribute is intelligence. Intelligence only increases combat rating by +1, but gives no other bonuses.

• Strength: +1 combat rating and +0.3 damage

The abilities

What are the demon hunter’s best skills? The crossbow-firing demon hunter has a variety of high single damage attacks and some AoE skills. We at MeinMMO show you the four skills that have currently emerged as the most useful or strongest:

• multiple shot
  • The Multishot fires a volley of arrows, damaging all enemies in a direction.
• hail of revenge
  • You fire a massive volley of arrows into the air that rains down for several seconds, damaging all enemies in the area for the duration of the attack.
• Daring swing
  • You swing on a rope to a nearby location, dealing damage to enemies along the way. You are unassailable while the ability casts.
• Revenge
  • When Revenge is active, your primary attack fires additional shots for a number of seconds. In addition, your movement speed increases by 3% for each nearby enemy. This effect can be stacked up to 10 times.

Equipment

Which set do we recommend? To increase the damage of your crossbow shot, equip the Shal’baas War Uniform.

If you have two pieces of the set, the damage of the crossbow shot increases by 15%, with four pieces, primary attacks increase your attack speed up to a maximum of 25% and with six pieces of the set, your crossbow shots have a 5% chance, your attack speed 10 seconds to increase for a long time, although this effect can only occur once every 30 seconds.

What equipment should you use? For the 6 slots of legendary equipment you should use the following items and ideally awaken them in exactly this order:

• offhand: The hungry – The crossbow shot penetrates opponents and thus also hits opponents behind them. Additionally, as an Awakened item, the damage of the crossbow shot is increased by 10%.

• Chest: Heart of Vengeance – The cooldown of the ability ‘Revenge’ is reduced by 15% and in the Awakened state by an additional 10%.

• Head: vision of the lost – If you defeat opponents while the Revenge ability is activated, each kill increases the duration by 0.2 seconds. The maximum extension is 2.4 seconds. Awakening the Vision of the Lost also reduces the cooldown of Vengeance by 10%.

• Legs: Coff’s unrelenting rage – When the ‘Revenge’ ability is active, every second primary attack causes an additional missile to be fired. Raising the Leg Armor also reduces the cooldown of Revenge by 10%.

• Shoulders: Shoulderguards of the Hailstone – The ability ‘Hail of Vengeance’ is enhanced by this shoulder armor with Frost, inflicts and chills all opponents. In addition, the cooldown of Rain of Vengeance is reduced by 10% when you awaken the Shoulder Guard.

• main hand: fiery malice – Multishot now shoots fire arrows that damage and burn your enemies. Awakening the Flaming Malice also reduces the cooldown of Multishot by 10%.

Common & Legendary Gems

What regular gems should you use?

• tourmaline: is better suited than Ruby since damage is more important than life.
• sapphire is better than Aquamarine because Armor Penetration (Critical Hit Damage) is more important than Armor.
• citrine and topaz are equal since both potential and resistance are weak stats for your build.

Which legendary gems should you start with? Legendary gems are one of your most important sources for significantly improving your gear in Diablo Immortal. Here you can see which legendary gems are useful for the demon hunter.

• Eye of the Berserker: The Eye of the Berserker is a gem that gives you a glass cannon effect. The gem increases both the damage you deal and the damage you take. However, since the demon hunter is a ranged class, you can use your movement to minimize taking damage and take advantage of the distance to your opponents with additional damage.

• Endless Torments: The gem deals damage over time and can apply this effect to many enemies with AoE attacks and the crossbow shot – which ‘the Hungerer’ pierces through enemies and also hits enemies behind it.

• Ca’arsen’s Empowerment: Ca’arsen’s Empowerment is a gem that works significantly better for the demon hunter than other classes, as the ranged fighter uses his crossbow armor almost all the time and the gem increases the speed of primary attacks.

• Fervent Fang: Each attack you deal to an enemy increases the damage you deal by 0.8%. This gem is great for fighting single targets like bosses or elites, as the stronger the enemies and the longer the steam lasts, the more valuable Fervent Fang becomes. The maximum value of the damage increase is 8%.

• lightning core: When you move or shoot your crossbow shot, you charge yourself with electricity. Then, once you’re fully charged, your next crossbow shot will unleash chain lightning that deals high damage.

• Power & Command: This gem either boosts the damage of your crossbow shot or your abilities. What is currently being boosted changes at regular intervals. Since the demon hunter acts with the crossbow shot and the abilities at the same time, you always get a bonus on one of the two attacks.

Which legendary gems are recommended for the long term?

• Blood-Soaked Jade: Increases your damage and movement speed.

• Dripping bile: This gem can poison your opponents and cause damage as a result of the poisoning. In addition, affected enemies are slower. The abilities of ‘Dripping Bile’ are particularly recommended in the combination of your crossbow shot and the ability ‘Revenge’.

• Petrified Flesh Shard: This gem has a chance to petrify a target, which buys you important time and can keep you alive. In addition, enemies can be cursed, causing the enemy to explode.
