Lost Ark: Players Eagerly Wait for June Update, Amazon Says “We’ve Been Blocked for Weeks”

Lost Ark Wartungsarbeiten heute: Neuer Hotfix soll Server in Europa stabiler machen

Amazon is currently receiving strong criticism for not revealing anything about the upcoming June update in Lost Ark. Actually, everything sounded as if the update would be released in mid-June, but there is radio silence at the moment. Now the community manager reports and says that they are being blocked themselves.

What’s the problem with the patch? A major update was announced in the roadmap for the month of June. This should bring a Legion Raid, a Guardian Raid and some other innovations. Since the login rewards expired on Thursday last week for the weekly patch, many there expected the update to be released.

However, the login rewards were simply extended by a week. But there is still radio silence about the new update. It currently seems unlikely that it will appear tomorrow, June 23rd.

In the forum, players complain about the lack of communication. But Community Manager Roxx now says that they cannot communicate.

These powerful bosses came into play with the May update:

Lost Ark shows the dangerous creatures and bosses that you can now fight in the new update

“We have been blocked for several weeks, hence the ambiguity”

What does Roxx say exactly? Here’s what Roxx wrote in the Lost Ark forum:

We’ve been blocked for several weeks now, hence the confusion about the June update.

She does not specify who exactly is blocked and what that blocking looks like. Someone from Amazon may be preventing the community team from communicating about the patch. However, there is also speculation in reddit that the problem does not lie with Amazon itself. After all, Amazon already wrote in the June blog post that there are problems uniting the Korean and Western versions.

What do the players suspect? on reddit writes the user SyleSpawn, who says he has experience with management, that he sees only two reasons why a “blockade” occurs:

  • Either the upcoming content is not compatible with our western version of the MMORPG and it just takes time to make the appropriate adjustments.
  • Or there is a conflict at the top of management and someone does not want to provide something to the partner. That could speak for a conflict between Amazon and the Korean developer Smilegate.

Some even speculate that they identify the bots as a problem. These are a major annoyance, especially in the West, while verification makes it harder to create additional accounts in Korea. Lost Ark’s reputation could suffer from the bot problem worldwide.

However, this is all just speculation, some of which annoyed the players in the forums. You want a clear statement from Amazon about this statement. So far, however, this has not existed.

When is the June patch coming out? That is still completely open. The release tomorrow, June 23, seems unlikely. The usual information, trailers and blog posts that are published in advance are missing. The next possible date would be June 30th. Otherwise the update will become a July patch.
