Purchase price refund as Battle.net credit for the impatient

The veterans among you will hardly be shocked that the Blizzard people recommend that you buy WoW: Dragonflight twice if you are impatient with digital goodies. Community Manager Kaivax writes about this in the WoW forum: “We have received a number of questions from players regarding the physical Collector’s Edition that has recently gone on sale and how they can use the game code as part of their purchase. As there is no digital delivery of the code prior to receiving the physical box, two scenarios are conceivable:

  • Players not interested in gaining access to pre-release content or digital items prior to receiving the Collector’s Edition can wait for the box to be delivered to their shipping address. Upon receipt, the game code is in the box and can be applied to the account one wishes to upgrade to the Dragonflight Epic Edition.
  • If you would like to enjoy pre-release content or digital items before receiving the Collector’s Edition, you can purchase one of the available digital options and upgrade your account to Dragonflight immediately. Upon receipt of the Collector’s Edition, the code included in the box can be applied to the account to be upgraded to the Dragonflight Epic Edition. This will result in an automatic credit of Battle.net Credits to the appropriate account equal to the cost of the original digital purchase.”
