Xenoblade Chronicles 3 gets an expansion pass with lots of new content
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be expanded with some new content in the future.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the next big title coming to the Nintendo Switch. Almost a month before the release of the JRPG, the title was presented in detail as part of a Nintendo Direct. Among other things, it was confirmed what many fans had already suspected: Like its predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will have a paid expansion pass that will add some new content to the game.
Staggered release of DLC content
This one will 29.99 euros cost and be available in time for the release of the game. The new content that will be included in the pass will be released in a staggered manner.
- There will be additional items and outfit color variants when the game is released
- Until 31.12. new outfits, missions and a new combat test are to follow
- More outfits, missions and combat trials are coming until 04/30. 2023 added
Probably the most interesting point of the expansion pass: A completely new plot is to be inserted by December 31, 2023. However, no details were given.

The Nintendo Direct introduced some areas of the Switch RPG in more detail, including the game world and combat mechanics:
- The main characters of the game are named Noah, Eunie, Mio, Taion and Sena
- Colonies serve as bases in the world where, among other things, you can shop
- Rest points can also be created in the world
- A navigation system should ensure that you do not lose your bearings
- You should be able to fast travel to points you have already visited
- The time in the game can be adjusted, for example to be able to fight certain monsters
- Classes in the game include the poised Swordsman, the swift Zephyr, a Healing Archer, and an Ogre, among others
- Master techniques can be learned later, which can strengthen the classes again
- Different heroes can be added to the party as a seventh team member, each with their own classes and strengths
- Certain characters can become powerful Ouroboros through synchronization, which unleash particularly strong attacks and can be improved via a skill tree
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will support amiibos.
