Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition of the classic now available on PC and consoles

Update from June 24, 2022: Blade Runner Enhanced Edition is also included GOG arrived. And there you can save some if you already have the original in your library.

If that’s the case, you save 50 percent when you buy the Enhanced Edition. If you buy the Enhanced Edition new, you automatically get the original version of the classic at no additional cost.

Westwood Studios’ classic Blade Runner is today receiving its Enhanced Edition from Nightdive Studios.

The improved version is out today for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC. It is already available on PlayStation and Xbox, for the other systems the Enhanced Edition should follow later in the day.

A classic in a new form

The Enhanced Edition is a remaster of the 1997 point-and-click adventure game Blade Runner.

Your goal in the game is to track down several replicants as Blade Runner Ray McCoy. Exactly which characters these are is determined anew each time the game is started. Likewise, the game does not follow a fixed script, the NPCs move around in real time based on the tasks assigned to them. There are also different paths through the adventure and different endings.

For the game, Nightdive promises improved video sequences, an increased frame rate from 15 to 60 fps, higher resolutions, better subtitles, SMAA anti-aliasing and a lot more.

The price is relatively cheap at 9.99 euros.
