A visit to the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum reveals some aircraft that will be added to Microsoft Flight Simulator later this year.

The 40th Anniversary Edition for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released in autumn to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the simulation series.

To mark the anniversary, a trailer was shown at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase announcing a collaboration between the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

A new video now accompanies Parris Lilly and Joerg Neumann to the US capital, where the museum itself talks more about the partnership and takes a look at the unique aircraft on display. Some of them, including the Spirit of St. Louis and the Wright Flyer, will be included in the 40th Anniversary Edition in November.
