With its more expensive options, the new PS Plus offers a number of advantages over the previous service. As a subscriber to PS Plus Premium, you can now stream part of the huge game library – and not just on the PS4 and PS5, but also on the PC. However, not everything seems to be running smoothly, because several of the titles don’t even start.

PS Plus on PC comes with launch issues

If you want to stream and play your PS Plus Premium titles on the PC, you must first download the app and then browse through the library of titles that you can play via cloud streaming. This works perfectly for many games, but fans complain about problems with others.

Many PS3 games do not run: This is how users report on Redditthat they just can’t start The Last of Us or Marvel’s Spider-Man. We have tried this ourselves and can also report some problems. Although The Last of Us starts with us without any problems, some other games are affected.

We also couldn’t start Marvel’s Spider-Man and had the same problem with Jak & Dexter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak 2: Renegade and inFamous: First Light. Of course, this is not a complete list, but it already shows that quite a few games are affected. All of the ones that caught our eye are PS3 titles.

When you click on Start, a new window with the game should actually open, but with some titles nothing happens at all.

The app doesn’t give any indication as to why the games aren’t running. We asked Sony for you if they are already working on a solution and will update this article accordingly if we get an answer.

More launch stutters

Unfortunately, these are not the only problems that the new PS Plus has been nibbling on since launch. Almost all PS1 games stutter during service, but Sony is at least working on a solution. And of the more than 800 games that are actually available in the service, unfortunately more than 100 games are not available to us. By the way, if you want a complete list of all the games in the PS Plus library, you’ll find it here.
