FromSoftware is working on several secret projects and one of them is almost finished
FromSoftware reveals what’s next after Elden Ring.
FromSoftware released a potential GOTY title for many players this year with Elden Ring. But many have already explored the intermediate lands extensively and are already longing for the next Soulslike adventure. Perhaps they won’t have to stretch their patience too long as the next FromSoftware title is already in the wings.
FromSoftware has several games up its sleeve
In an interview with the Japanese magazine 4gamers answered questions from Elden Ring Director and FromSoftware President Hidetaka Miyazaki. In 2018, the developer studio stated that there were at least three unannounced titles in development. One of these turned out to be the Elden Ring, but the other two are unannounced as of now.
What about the other titles? When asked for a status update, Miyazaki stated that one of the two titles is almost complete and in the final stages of development. That means it shouldn’t be too long before we hear about the title.
In addition to developing the other projects, FromSoftware is also focused on providing Elden Ring with further updates. Fans are already speculating that there could be one or even more DLCs in the future that could be related to the Colosseum, the center of the towers or other story approaches.

Multiple IPs possible
What could the new games be? Thanks to FromSoftware’s expertise in difficult titles like Dark Souls, Bloodborne or Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the upcoming projects should be games that fall into the same category.
On the internal job market, on which the development studio is looking for numerous other employees, an image of the Armored Core series is emblazoned in the top bar. The last game in the series was released in 2013, but FromSoftware still advertises it with a picture of a mecha.
Accordingly, it is reasonable to assume that one of the projects could be the revival of Armored Core. Armored Core is a third person shooter series starring mechas. But FromSoftware could possibly also create completely new IPs.

So far we can only speculate what kind of game it will be. However, given the advanced stage of development, it shouldn’t be too long before we hear something from the official side about one of the two titles.
However, it could take some time until the release of the new game, because there were three years between the announcement of Elden Ring and the release. If the approach to the new title is similar, we must first hope for DLCs for Elden Ring to make ends meet.
