FIFA 23 is set to be announced in July and EA may have more to come

EA wants to present several titles in July.

EA wants to present several titles in July.

There will be no EA Play this year, as the publisher announced weeks ago. Accordingly, there was no news about projects from EA and its studios during the Summer Game Fest. And the company has not yet registered for gamescom 2022 either. However, the summer will probably not pass without games from EA, because according to a report, three titles will be presented individually in the course of the coming month.

EA reportedly announces three games in July, including FIFA 23

FIFA 23 should be the highlight: We’re not talking about one big event, but three separate shows, as noted leaker Tom Henderson reveals (via exporter). Probably the most important performance for EA is the annual blockbuster FIFA 23. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, because new FIFA offshoots traditionally appear at the end of September/beginning of October.

Here’s what we already know about FIFA 23: This fall, the last FIFA from EA Sports will be released for the time being, and we already know some details about the offshoot: On the one hand, the title should finally offer crossplay. However, a recent crossplay test could indicate that this feature is only coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. On the other hand, we could expect a completely revised FUT mode. And a world championship mode (for men and women) will probably be delivered in winter.

More FIFA news:

EA is supposed to introduce these games

Need for Speed: Fans of neat racing game action can finally look forward to the unveiling of the new Need for Speed, which has been rumored for quite a while. The game is in the works at Criterion, and the studio is reportedly getting help from the racer experts at Codemasters. Recently it was said that NfS should be launched for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2022, but we don’t know if these plans are still up to date.

Skates: Almost exactly a year ago, EA confirmed that Skate 4 was in the works at the newly founded studio Full Circle. Not much more is known about the game, except that we can count on an open world in which we can also interact with each other. A release in 2022 is rather unlikely.

Unfortunately, this also means that EA will keep the really big blockbusters under wraps for the time being. So this summer we won’t be Star Wars Jedi: SurvivorDragon Age: Dreadwolf, Dead Space or Mass Effect.

What do you think of EA’s lineup for this summer?
