We’re starting July at full throttle! The first game of the month is F1 22. Of course, the official racing game for the premier class of motorsport comes with the well-known package of licensed drivers, teams and tracks. The driving experience somewhere between arcade and sim got more fine tuning than a general overhaul. Of course, there are still some innovations on board: There is a revised set of rules, sprint races, interactive pit stops, complete Formula 2, VR support and the F1 Life mode, in which you can buy supercars and stylish wristwatches for your character.

The makers of Friday the 13th and Predator: Hunting Grounds present their new work Arcadegeddon in July. Unsurprisingly, this has also become a multiplayer shooter, but this time without an asymmetrical component. Instead, a dash of rogue-lite is thrown in. As you explore a variety of colorful biomes, master mini-games, find hidden chests and defeat bosses together with up to three other players, the world around you is constantly changing. Yurukill: The Calumniation Games

The fact that you didn’t commit these horrible crimes doesn’t matter. You still find yourself in the eponymous Yurukill Land, a mysterious amusement park with lethal attractions that you must survive to regain your freedom. In addition to a gripping story in visual novel style, in the course of which you have to collect evidence, question witnesses and solve puzzles, there are also a few shoot ’em up passages to loosen things up.

With the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, July also has something in store for retro fans. The collection includes the first two main parts of the popular 3D side-scrolling series: Door to Phantomile and Lunatea’s Veil. They were relaunched once again to mark the 25th anniversary of the franchise. The remasters come with fancier graphics and improved accessibility options. You can now finally adjust the difficulty level. The basic gameplay, on the other hand, hasn’t changed. You still move through a fantastic dream world and face various puzzle, adventure and platformer passages.

Unfortunately, nothing came of the planned release in June. Instead, the psycho-horror trip MADiSON reappears in the July issue of our release preview. The game is played in the first-person perspective. Your goal is to escape from a dark and dangerous nightmare world. For this you have to explore the environment and solve puzzles, where your camera is very helpful. With it you can take a look into the afterlife and collect important clues. Due to random events and various puzzles, the title ensures a high level of replay value.
