GTA 6: Huge online mode leak reveals gangs and story missions

GTA 6 is still under listing at Rockstar Games. But now new information has leaked out. A leak offers possible insights into the online mode.

New York – Sooner or later GTA 6 has to come, that much is at least certain after the first announcement. So far, Rockstar Games has owed its fans any further information beyond “it’s in the works”. The developer studio has not yet confirmed whether there will be a successor to GTA Online. After a new leak, that should be highly likely. A post has surfaced online that shares extensive information about GTA 6’s new online mode.

GTA 6: Gangs and drugs in online mode? Leak reveals new information

Where is the leak coming from? There have been rumors and supposed leaks about GTA 6 for years. From the big Project Americas leak to the smallest concept cover from fans of GTA 6, a wide variety of information has been seen in recent years. The most interesting ones tend to come from a Reddit account simply named u/GTA_VI_LEAK, which has been sharing surprisingly specific details about Rockstar’s mammoth project since 2020. A whole new leak of the account is now on the online mode of GTA 6.

What does the leak say about online mode? u/GTA_VI_LEAK shared an extensive post on Reddit in which numerous details about the successor to GTA Online appear. The account provides information about the setting, structure and characters that multiplayer players can select. GTA 6 Online is not about building an empire on your own. It would be much more about rising in rank and building reputation as a member of an existing gang. Each player would play four characters, each belonging to a different gang.

Which gangs should come? Five different gangs and organizations are said to be available in GTA 6 Online. Each of them will give your character unique circumstances in online mode. For example, DOA agents and members of the “Von Crastenburg” family cannot go to jail. Those who belong to the “El Tercer Ojo” cartel should have access to the best weapons, and gang members should be able to request NPC companions on demand. What else is known about GTA 6 Online? in the full Reddit thread GTA_VI_LEAKS goes further into the mission structures and also speaks of a prison system for GTA 6, which fans have requested several times. In addition, each mission should be playable alone or in co-op and, according to the leak, the currency will be deflated again, in contrast to GTA Online, but making money should be more difficult.

The account also notes that GTA 6 Online will play in Vice City and Carcer City, as well as in South America. However, both regions have different lobbies between which one would have to switch, for example as El Tercer Ojo. Apparently there is no completely connected world.

GTA 6: All humbug? So much truth could be in the leak.

Is the leak reliable? When it comes to GTA 6, every leak and every rumor should be treated with extreme caution. Experience has shown that there is more secrecy at Rockstar Games than at almost any other development studio, so leaks should always be questioned here. However, the sheer mass of extremely specific information behind the information provided by GTA_VI_LEAK could suggest a certain degree of truth.

More details will be available at the latest when Rockstar Games shares the first official trailer for GTA 6. According to the account, this should also be coming soon. Then it will emerge whether GTA_VI_LEAK is actually a completely legitimate source, or just someone with a very flowery imagination.
