Destiny 2: Weekly Reset on 6/28 – The final nightmare will be vanquished

In Season 17, a new week in Destiny 2 starts today and many are looking forward to the end of Caiatl’s nightmare. There’s also more content coming this week. As always, you can find out exactly which ones on MeinMMO.

This is happening this week: Caiatl will once again be forced to face her nightmare, Ghaul. Should the current Empress of the Cabal succeed, the connection to the Moon Pyramid will be severely weakened. Despite the large and smooth achievements, rescuing the NPCs from the nightmare seems suspiciously easy.

Calus has sacrificed too much to be incapacitated so quickly, so it remains to be seen what deceptive plan the former Cabal Emperor has in mind, and whether it will bear spurs after all.

Vanguard: Dawn – The Crucible

The Dawn: The Crucible is this week’s Strike:

  • The Arms Dealerin the European Dead Zone
    • You are dealing with a great many cabals there with solar and void shields. You also have to defeat the boss “Bracus Tynoc”, who likes to unleash his horde of war beasts on you.

This week’s Dusk Weapon: In the 6th season week of the “Season of the Haunted” you can earn a special twilight weapon.

Playlist strikes have these modifiers:

  • Void Scorch
  • grenadier
  • iron
  • The Singe modifier stays with you throughout the week, the others change daily.

Endgame: Raid challenges and dungeon rotation

This happens in the latest raid “The student’s oath“:

  • Complete the easiest challenge in the final encounter of the Vow of the Apprentice raid named this week “Loop Catalyst”. To complete the challenge, your team must maintain at least one stack of the Siphoning Power buff prior to the damage phase on Rhulk.
  • As a reward for completing the challenge in the final leg of the Grandmaster Raid this week, there’s a chance for a Master version of the Lubraes Ruin Glaive weapon, Insidious Pulse Rifle, or Forbearance Grenade Launcher. But keep in mind that hard and normal mode share the loot.

You get additional top rewards from the endgame:

  • In the Garden of Salvation raid in the Black Garden.
  • As well as in the dungeon “Pit of Heresy”.

Weekly Activities

New activities have also come into play with Season 17. Explore the Forsaken Leviathan and face the nightmares or surprise bosses in the new patrol zone. Pull the solar scythe there and defend yourself in the nightmare containment. In addition, these weekly activities await you:

Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly campaign mission

  • “The arrival”
    • This week you can play the first campaign mission on Grandmaster difficulty. You infiltrate a Cabal base on Mars, then daringly investigate Savathun’s ship for any sign of the Light.

Additionally, if you venture into PvP this week, you’ll earn bonus Crucible ranks.

Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City

  • Petra Venj has the 2nd Ascendant Challenge for you this week. You can find Petra and her quest offering at The Shore location in the Dreaming City. Again, Savathun has a hand in this, as the curse starts to take over the holy city of the awakened again at level 1.

Sources of pinnacle loot in Destiny 2 Season 17

This is the new max level: In the new season of the haunted, the maximum power level of your gear is 1,570. This means that the power level at the start of the new season 17 has increased by +10 power levels compared to the previous season 16. All players have also been raised to the base power level of 1350.

If you want to level up fast, you can also play the Legendary Campaign of the Witch Queen expansion and get 1,530 on completion and get a new exotic.
