gamescom 2022: THQ Nordic is there and presents 9 games on 1,000 square meters
What visitors at this year’s gamescom after two years of pandemic and a makeshift digital offer (2020 & 2021) can probably only be predicted by Nostradamus alone. It is only known that so far hardly anything is known. After all, the game fair tends to make headlines in the run-up to the cancellation of major publishers such as Sony or Nintendo. But since it’s not far off, there are now first, real commitments.
THQ Nordic confirms participation in gamescom 2022
Apparently, the Koelnmesse site will not be completely deserted in mid-August after all. finally has alongside French publisher and game developer Ubisoft also THQ Nordic officially confirmed its own participation in gamescom 2022. The Austrian publisher based in Vienna is part of the Swedish Embracer Groupwhich just recently announced Square Enix’s brands deus ex, Tomb Raider and Thief including the associated studios for floppy Purchased for $300 million to have. in one Interview with GamesWirtschaft Head of PR Florian Emmerich spoke about THQ Nordic’s participation in this year’s gamescom and what expectations and goals he will have when he arrives this year.
“We have now had to wait three years for a new Gamescom. We therefore expect that the visitors are just as excited about the trade fair as we are. Because as nice as it may be to follow all the online events in your underwear with a can of Aldi beer (or a dry 2019 Pinot Noir, depending on your taste) in your hand in your armchair at home: there’s no trade fair feeling there.”

Emmerich’s statement about the size of the THQ Nordic booth is particularly interesting. According to the Head of PR, the company will present nine games in Hall 8 on around 1,000 square meters.
Four of these titles have not yet been revealed. The official reveal will happen on August 12, 2022 in a dedicated live stream from THQ Nordic. So if you would like to know more, you should definitely tune in before gamescom starts.
gamescom 2022 will take place from Wednesday, August 24th to Sunday, August 28th, 2022 in Cologne and online.
