One of the biggest multiplayer surprises on PS4/PS5 is now 40% off
If you really want to smack someone in the head – or knock them off, Chivalry 2 is the place for you.
Anyone who has a PS4 or PS5 and likes medieval gossip should have fun with Chivalry 2. The medieval multiplayer carnage is currently available for much cheaper money than it is usually the case. So if you haven’t bought it yet, now is your chance. Here we briefly explain what is so cool about Chivalry 2 and why it could be worthwhile for you – and of course why it might not be for you either.

What is Chivalry 2? Chivalry 2 picks up where Chivalry: Medieval Warfare from 2012 left off. This means that you can fight a lot of wild, chaotic but also epic battles here. Up to 64 warriors plunge into the fray and compete against each other in different modes. The focus is clearly on brutal fights in which no prisoners are taken.

This is what the tests say about it: Chivalry 2 was one of the biggest positive surprises of 2021. Especially in the field of medieval multiplayer there are not too many alternatives, but Chivalry 2 still stands out (hehe). This is partly due to the combat system, which is fairly beginner-friendly, but still surprisingly complex and multi-layered. If you want, you can really get into it here, if you only play from time to time, you’ll still have a lot of fun. The sense of humor isn’t neglected either.
- on Metacritic Chivalry 2 with the PS4 version is only 66 points, but the meta score of the PS5 version is a proud 85.
- at OpenCritic the average of all platforms is combined and has a rating of 82 points.

The medieval spectacle is really well received
For whom it is worth: If you really fancy chaotic, but very fun and intense multiplayer battles set in the Middle Ages, you won’t go wrong with Chivalry 2. It’s not only fun, it’s also really funny.
…and for whom not: Those who are faint-hearted should be put off by the truly bloody carnage. If you’re having trouble with severed body parts and competitive multiplayer, you might want to stay away from Chivalry 2.
