Are you bursting with curiosity, motivation and interested in current topics in the field of hardware, games and technology? The PCGH editorial team is looking for an intern to get a taste of editorial work as well as freelance online authors (m/f/d) to strengthen our team.

Hello dear PCGH community! A word on my own this time:

We at PC Games Hardware are now offering an internship for students within the framework of the respective examination regulations or also one freelance work as an author (each m/f/d). Would you like to report about exciting, new PC components, peripherals and games yourself, but don’t have a platform for it yet? Are you familiar with new/old hardware, retro and blockbuster games? Or would you like to earn money alongside your main job? Then you should contact us today apply!

As a potential intern, you should bear this in mind

as intern (m/f/d) you usually have to be enrolled (with a mandatory practical part) and be able to work with us on projects every day on site in the editorial office. A permanent home office solution is on the cards the minimum three-month internship therefore not possible. Our offices are in the Fürth/Nuremberg area. The internship is paid.

You should bring:

  • Solid spelling, good knowledge of English
  • Passionate about PC hardware and PC games
  • Desire to get involved in topics
  • You like working in a team, are flexible and responsible
  • Minimum age: 18 years

What awaits you as an intern with us:

  • Insights into everyday editorial work
  • Accompanied to independent research on all aspects of PC hardware, from design and data collection to the finished product
  • Creation of own articles for our website and our print magazine under the guidance of colleagues
  • Direct cooperation with our video department, with a taster if you are interested
  • Individual, supportive care including regular feedback
  • Nice touches like free coffee, milk, fresh fruit, lounge etc.

You should bring that with you as a freelance online employee

At the online front we’re looking for free writers (m/f/d) who strengthen the PCGH.de team on weekdays/weekends, in the mornings or in the evenings. The tasks are coordinated and organized at an early stage, so we can also respond to individual wishes during the planning. Work is done in the in-house content management system, so that home office is explicitly possible.

  • Affinity to our range of topics
  • Good knowledge of German and good English
  • Confident handling of the German language, spelling and grammar
  • Online reporting experience
  • Experience in researching reports and backgrounds
  • Flexibility and willingness to work weekends
  • independence, reliability and conscientiousness
  • Team and communication skills
  • Minimum age of 18 years

The most important documents include a cover letter, curriculum vitae and the said sample writing (2,000 characters on a maximum of two A4 pages, please).
